As we continue to grow in our passion for providing practical training to individuals, we are truly proud to announce that on 26 October 2026, 13 trainees from earlier Shan-Phill Training cohorts received their CVQ in Electrical Installation from the Saint Lucia Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (SLCTVET).
- 11 at Level 2 from our adult group
- 2 at Level 1 through NextGen Skills Foundation’s Summer Skills Program

Currently Training
Shan-Phill Training is actively running CVQ Electrical Installation Level 1 with Corinth Secondary School students, alongside two adult groups working through CVQ Electrical Installation Level 2 and Level 3.

SHAN-PHILL Training operates under an official Private Educational Institution Permit from Saint Lucia’s Ministry of Education, and is an approved centre of the Saint Lucia Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (SLCTVET).
This TVET training-provider recognition is held by Shanel Phillip as an individual, sole-proprietor training provider, a status typically held by larger organizations such as NELU and NSDC.
Ministry of Education Permit
Private Educational Institution Permit granted May 10, 2025, valid through May 9, 2028. Licensed course areas: Electrical Installation, Community Tourism, Customer Services, and Supervisory Management.
SLCTVET Approved Centre
Centre Number SPHT23-04/25. Approval period May 2025 – April 2028, issued by the Saint Lucia Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training.

Shan-Phill Training is currently delivering CVQ Electrical Installation training in partnership with Corinth Secondary School, and is actively growing partnerships with secondary schools and other institutions across Saint Lucia, bringing accredited, hands-on trade training directly to students.

A hands-on vocational pathway for anyone looking to build a practical trade skill from the ground up, with Level 2 and Level 3 tracks for those ready to go further.
- Who it’s for: anyone starting or building a trade skill in electrical work
- What to expect: practical installation training over a 3–4 month programme per level
- Progression: Level 1 leads into a Level 2 programme, and Level 2 to Level 3
- Already have experience? You’ll be assessed first to confirm your level, so you can start at Level 2 or 3 if you qualify
